Privacy Policy — Capture Pro

This Privacy Policy describes how iWesabe Technologies — the publisher of Capture Pro — handles information in connection with this browser extension. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Capture Pro is a browser-based screen and audio recording tool. No account, login, or registration is required to use it — and we have designed it so that we never receive your data.

We collect no personal data. Capture Pro does not track you, does not send telemetry, and makes no background network calls.

Every recording and screenshot you create is stored exclusively in your browser's IndexedDB on your own device. iWesabe Technologies has zero access to your recordings, screenshots, or any content you capture.

Capture Pro requests only the permissions required for its features — and only when you explicitly trigger the relevant action:

• Screen capture — requested only when you start a recording. Used to record your screen.
• Microphone — requested only when you choose an audio recording mode. Never accessed when audio is off.
• Camera — declared in the manifest for a future feature. Not currently used or accessed.
• Clipboard (write-only) — used only when you click "Share this tool" to copy a message to your clipboard. The extension never reads your clipboard.

Capture Pro may open external URLs, but only as a direct result of your actions — never automatically:

• Footer link → opens iwesabe.com in a new tab. Standard web analytics on the website side may apply under iwesabe.com's own privacy policy.
• "Share this tool" → copies a text message to your clipboard only. No network call is made.
• "𝕏 Share" button → opens twitter.com in a new tab with a pre-filled message. iWesabe transmits no data to Twitter; the interaction is entirely between your browser and Twitter.

Capture Pro stores a small amount of data locally in your browser to remember your preferences across sessions:

• Extension settings (e.g., audio on/off, recording quality preferences)
• EULA acceptance status
• A reference to your most recent recording (the recording itself is stored in IndexedDB)

All of this data stays on your device. iWesabe Technologies does not receive it.

Your recordings remain in your browser's IndexedDB until you delete them from the Gallery. Deletion is permanent — iWesabe holds no copy and has no ability to recover deleted recordings.

Local settings and preferences can be cleared by removing the Capture Pro extension from your browser.

Capture Pro does not include any third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, or advertising trackers. No third-party code runs inside the extension.

When you click a link that opens an external website (such as iwesabe.com or twitter.com), you are subject to that website's own privacy policy — not this one.

Capture Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page only when our actual data practices change. Routine administrative updates that do not affect data handling will not trigger a date change.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Capture Pro is a personal productivity tool made available by iWesabe Technologies primarily for the iWesabe team and its supporters. It is not intended for commercial use.

By installing and using Capture Pro, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Personal use only — This extension is provided as a convenience tool and is not intended for commercial deployment or redistribution.
• Your responsibility — You are solely responsible for how you use this extension, including what you record, capture, store, and share.
• Consent and permissions — You must obtain all necessary consent and permissions from any individuals who appear in or are affected by your recordings or screenshots before capturing or sharing that content.
• Applicable laws — You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations applicable in your country or region, including but not limited to privacy laws, data protection regulations, and recording consent requirements.
• No liability — iWesabe Technologies, its developers, and publishers accept no responsibility or liability for any claims, damages, legal proceedings, or other consequences arising from your use of this extension.
• Agreement on installation — By installing this extension, you agree to take full responsibility for all actions taken through its use and release iWesabe Technologies, its developers, and publishers from any and all related liability.
• Copyright-protected content — You acknowledge that recording, reproducing, or distributing copyright-protected material — including films, television programmes, music, sports broadcasts, streaming video, or any DRM-protected content — without the authorisation of the rights holder may constitute copyright infringement under applicable law. You bear full, sole, and exclusive legal and financial responsibility for any copyright claim, takedown notice, fine, or legal proceeding arising from your use of this extension to record or distribute such content. iWesabe Technologies, its developers, and publishers have no liability whatsoever in connection with any such claim.
